Update on Habitat for Humanity for October of 1999

Local Bend Area HFH news:

"There is a broad scope of construction activities within the Bend Area Habitat for Humanity. At this time we are in the final phases of completing 2024 Full Moon Drive Triplex. When completed, this will be the last of the construction at this site. We will have completed two single family dwellings, two triplexes, and three duplexes within a block on Full Moon Drive.

Through the Deschutes County Juvenile Justice program, we completed a single family home on Emerson for the Perkins family.

We are currently in the initial construction phases of our new office building at 1860 NE 4th Street, east of Highway 97 off Revere Avenue. We will be building with panelized wall systems, a new construction process for the BAHFH.

There are two single family homes in the planning stages. Construction on these will begin early in 2000. One of these homes will be constructed with the help of the Community Justice Corps in cooperation with the Deschutes County Juvenile Justice Department.
