Local Redmond HFH news:

Redmond Habitat for Humanity is just finishing up the triplex built on 23rd Street. Over the next six weeks, they will be installing a fence, grass and gravel to give the triplex a finishing touch.

On August 28th, Redmond’s HFH will have a booth set up at the Redmond Saturday Market. [The Redmond Saturday Market is held the last Saturday of every month in the park by Redmond’s Chamber of Commerce; vendors from the area set up their booths and the public is invited to come see the arts and crafts being sold.] They will be selling cook books, pins, T-shirts and will provide information for those interested in Habitat. Come down and see what exciting things are happening in the Redmond community!

Local Jefferson County HFH news:

Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity received a $20,000 challenge grant from the Ford Family Foundation in Roseburg to help build a house for a family in Jefferson County. This house will be wheelchair accessible for the family’s daughter.

The challenge is to raise $20,000 to match the $20,000 given. This is a prerequisite. Jefferson County HFH will be seeking professional volunteers and donated building materials and cash. If you are interested in contributing, please call Marilyn Brown at 541-475-5605. More details about the grant can be found in the Bend Bulletin and the Madras Pioneer newspaper.
